Common Returns Questions

Is it easy to return items?

Absolutely! It's super easy to return stuff in our store. Once your return is authorized by our system, you'll receive step-by-step instructions and a prepaid shipping label via email. 

How soon will I get my refund?

That timeline begins once your items are inspected by the store. (Typically 1 - 3 business days after we receive it.)  We'll send you an update and, if all goes well, you'll get your refund or store credit within 48 business hours of that inspection.

Do you guys charge fees?

Great question! The answer is, it depends. 

EXCHANGES: In most cases, folks will choose to return in exchange for a CysterWigs store credit so they can purchase another item. In this case, we only charge for the cost of the return shipping. It is deducted from the store credit automatically before we issue it. We consider this a fee-free return because we don't charge you for the cost of handling, inspecting, and restocking the product. 

REFUNDS: In the event that someone chooses to return something for a refund to their original payment method, we do charge a fee to help cover some of the expense associated with processing and shipping the initial order, as well as the labor associated with the handling, inspection, and restocking of that item. These items will be charged a fee of 15% of the amount paid for the product(s) after discounts were applied. This fee is assessed and applied per individual item returned for refund to the original payment method. This fee PLUS the cost of the return shipping label is deducted from your refund automatically before we issue it. 

Are you deliberately trying to incentivize people to exchange for store credit instead of a refund?

You bet your sweet bippy! It costs a lot of money to send out all these products with free shipping and great discounts. Make no bones about it, our system is very much designed to encourage you to keep your money in our store until you find the best product for you!

Who pays for the return shipping? 

You do. We don't like surprising people, so please know up front that you are responsible for this expense. We hope you'll consider that fair, since we more than likely paid to ship the item to you in the first place at our expense.  

Can I send the package back with my own shipping method independent of this system? 

Alas, no. All returns must be sent back to us with a valid RMA via this system to be considered eligible for return. To do this, you must use the autogenerated label from this system.

How long do I have to initiate my return?  

You have a 14 calendar day window to return any eligible wig or topper after it has been delivered to the address you provided to us at the time of checkout. (Note: We cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost or stolen -- or any other delivery issues -- associated with an insecure or otherwise bad mailing address.) 

What can I send back? (What are the eligibility requirements?)

Think of it a like the old adage: "You break it, you bought it." It makes sense, if you think about it.  No one will want to buy your returned item if you style it or mess it up before they get it. (See full policy for details.)

What happens if my item isn't eligible, even after I send it in for return?

If we can't resell it and it's not defective, we will send it back to you at our expense and reject the return or exchange. All inspection determinations are final and cannot be appealed. Please see our full store policies for details.
